"Tessa, my love, my heart beats for you.. Just like it would for a rapist having his limbs torn from his very body." The thought made the male shiver as he took in sight of the beautiful creature hauling a coffin to yet another open grave. He would give anything for that woman. Internal organs, limbs.. Life. He would give all he had and so much more to know that she returned the love he had for her. Yet he felt it was pointless to hope. His shy love letters were always what seemed to catch her, and yet he couldn't spring forward to make an official 'move'. He would take glances to see she read them and hid them in a small shoe box she'd occasionally bring with her. "How I wish I could tell you.." Now, this wasn't just a case of shyness. The young man, as it seemed, sighed a sigh unlike him, akin to that of a giddy, lovestruck schoolbody. Not only was this girl beautiful, but she seemed to share the same interest in death as he had.
His senses were driving him wild. Her scent, the way her body maneuvered so gracefully amongst the many graves, tombstones, mausoleums. Even when far enough away, he could see her face perfectly, that smile carved and pressed firmly on her lips, Carved beautifully... As if by Dark Angels themselves.. There were times when the young man wondered if this was the right thing. His tutor always taught him that falling in love could be a dangerous, dangerous thing. But he couldn't help himself. He stood on top of a giant mausoleum building, unable to be seen by the human eye.
"I promise you, Tessa Lockwell, that one day I, Cyril Morose, will approach you and admit my love for you. All I can hope is that you feel the same." A gloved hand was pressed over the male's chest as he looked up to the sky. A light breeze came and tossed, oh so gently, silvery tresses. He truly could not wait until the day he would come face to face with the woman he had an unrequited, as he thought, affection for. He watched, almost as if he was in awe, his slit pupils darting back and forth, matching the movements of the young, indecisive woman. Which one to place the coffin in.. Just by the look on her face, he could tell she didn't have an idea as to where she'd place it! He chuckled. It was quite.. Cute.
"Tessa, Dear, best make this burial a fast one. I think a storm is heading this way." Kaito chuckled softly at the thought, knowing the sentence he just uttered had a double meaning. Too bad the girl didn't get his double meaning sentences quite a lot. Or.. Until she managed to find out when said second meaning would show itself. She thought about it before nodding, "Of course, Sir. I wouldn't dream of keeping these nice people waiting and in the rain. That.. Wouldn't be good."she looked to them, flashing a charming smile, "Also, I'm sure they're a bit prissy when their clothes get ruined by a little rain, we don't need to lose any more business from them."
She giggled. Tessa always had a habit of speaking her mind, whether the people she would end up talking about were there or not. The couple looked a bit disturbed for a moment before sighing. Only business around, they would need to wait, be patient, and boom. Tessa soon enough placed the coffin in the ground, gave the blessings the job required and started to cover it up. "Is there anything you would like to say about the deceased?" She asked just as she finished covering up the grave. The couple shook their heads, Tessa nodded and made it so. "And I believe that you two are done. Follow Mr. Kai back to his shop to get everything finished." She bowed at the waist and stayed like that until the three were out of sight. Back turned to the grave, she waited until a small wind picked up.
"This is my chance..." He whispered softly to himself. A graceful sweep of his feet and Cyril was on the ground, walking just as gracefully toward the grave. Tessa was still standing there, though she admired the graves and tombstones all around her. Just enough time for him to drop the note. He read it for one last time to make sure this was what he wished to say, smiling softly as he continued to read it:
My Love,
Every night, I look up and see the moon, high up in the sky. The light that brings the night such warmth and familiarity is nothing compared to the light your beautiful smile radiates. It only dreams of holding a candle to you. I would love for nothing more than to bask in your beauty for eternity, in this very graveyard.

The paper crinkled in his hands as he held it a bit tighter. He folded it and placed it on the tombstone. He looked at her, walking close. He wanted her to know he was here, watching over her and admiring her silently, out of sight. One day, I will be with you, my love, holding you in my arms. His eyes had a yearning look to them. He wanted her more than it was possible for someone to want another. A hand lifted, he touched the silky blond locks within his grasp before twisting them lightly, to give a signal that he was there, that a new note was waiting for her, begging to be read. Until then.. He let go sadly, walking away before taking a giant leap into the sky and soon fading into a dark cloud that hung over in the sky, as if ready to weep in bittersweet mourning.
Tessa could feel another presence close to her, even if they could not be visibly seen. Possibly an apparition? For a moment she felt as if someone was right next to her physically, giving her signs of some sort. Tessa turned around in excitement, hoping her mystery man would show up. But slight disappointment welcomed her and brought her into a saddened embrace. She only saw the note. But that brought a small smile to her pretty, blackened lips. She trotted over and took it up in her small hands, eyes scanning over the paper with incredible speed.
She took in a short, soft breath. Sweet, like all of the others had been. How her heart ached to meet this man! It was torture to know that for the past few months she had been playing 'Guess Who'. She held the note to her chest, eyes now laid upon the picturesque scene that was the sky, "I will meet you one day. I promise you that." Confidence, determination, all of these things were shown on the face of Miss Tessa Lockwell. When she made a promise, whether it was to herself or to others, she would always keep it.
A hand placed itself against the girl's shoulders. Tessa jumped before feeling said hands gently rubbing her shoulders, "Don't fret, my dear, it's just me." The familiar voice chuckled before patting the girl's top curls. "My, my, aren't you cute. Now, let's go. You would like to get paid for today's job, right? Maybe spoil yourself with a few new goodies from that bake shop that just opened?" Tessa looked back at the smiling man. Why did it seem as if he was hinting her to go there? Tessa wasn't sure, but a few sweets, and maybe even a meat pie or two, sounded really good right now. Her stomach, after a long while, growled, and she laughed. "You are right. Let's head back as soon as possible." Tessa took the man's hand, first making sure that his long nails didn't cut her, and walked happily, a pep in her step, out of the graveyard. She hummed a lively tune and soon enough she had a pocket full of shillings jingling each time she bounced around. What a wonderful sound greeting her at the end of every work day.
"I will see you in a while, yes?" He purred smoothly, though jokingly, "Well, I better not. You have been working too hard, I have a strong feeling that you are missing out. Why is it that I never see any suitors taking you out? Too busy slaying them with your looks?" The man's joking was always refreshing, in a sense, seeing as they either had hidden meanings, revolved around death, or both wrapped in one disturbing joke. As a response, Tessa only winked and bounced out of the Funeral Home, walking almost across the town until she came onto the bake shop Kaito had mentioned.
She looked at it for a moment, wondering. Should I go in..? What if their sweets are no good? Only one way to find out. She was a picky one with her sweets.. Tessa walked through the door to see a young man with shockingly silver hair put a tray of small pies into an oven. As he turned, a look of shock was on his features. Tessa blinked a bit... She had a strange feeling that they had met before. .
