"Yes, I believe we shall. Are you ready, Sir Cyril?" Tessa smiled charmingly as she gently took the male's arm. She could only smile a bit more as a grin placed itself onto Cyril's lips. It seemed as if everything this girl did made him smile, made him laugh, everything. Tessa really liked that.. She liked the idea of thinking that somebody thought she was a funny girl. Tessa liked to think she had a sense of humor.. Despite the fact that it normally was from a sick, morbid nature.. That didn't seem to bother Cyril.. Which was, really, only a bonus!
As she looked to him, he offered a kind smile and kept a firm, yet oh so gentle, grip on her arm as they headed toward the door. He opened it and gestured for Tessa to walk out. "Careful of your step, dear. I don't want you to get hurt." He purred softly, eyes on Tessa's small, or as small as they could be with form-fitting boots, just so she didn't fall. Soon enough the two were heading down the cold, dark streets of London. The sky, looking as if a frustrated writer splashed ink against it, matched the streets, their footsteps audible and following a slightly rhythmic pattern.
"I hope you don't mind my saying this, but I really do enjoy your company. You're a much livelier companion than I have had recently." he only chuckled, wishing she knew of the irony behind his little joke. Even when she didn't know the true meaning, though, he managed to get a little giggle out of her. He blushed a little, looking away for a moment, So cute.. And she thinks I'm funny! God.. the Shinigami Realm prepared me for almost everything except for this! He really did feel a fool. Here he was, a powerful shinigami capable of anything and everything, and yet he couldn't keep his cool when with a young woman he wasn't even supposed to have fallen in love with!
I suppose this is what humans mean when they say that love knows no bounds. I feel as if I let go of her arm, she may float away. My angel of darkness.. I could never let her go.. Now that I finally have her in my grasp! As she looked around, Cyril's eyes were on Tessa, filled with longing. How he wished she was one of his kind. For then, they could live with each other eternally, taking the lives of the good and the bad, being the only ones to watch as humanity sped past their eyes.. He almost sighed dreamily, quite unlike himself, before noticing that Tessa had spoken.
"How long have you been baking, Cyril?" She asked again, noticing the male seemed to be a bit too occupied with his own, personal thoughts. She didn't mind that since.. She felt that was something they had in common. Tessa had a tendency to be one track minded, meaning when her mind was on something, nothing else was really important until someone caught her attention and brought her back into reality, so to speak. She smiled at the thought, no longer awaiting an answer.. Seeing as her streak of one minded-ness, if that is a word, had already begun. Though it was over as soon as it started. "Quite a few years now. Believe it or not, I had better intentions. I wanted to be memorable and somewhat of a noble, so I could at least try to overlook how people are doing and help in whatever ways possible but.. I started baking and cooking overall and fell deeply in love with it. Now, I couldn't think of doing anything else." Save for his actual 'job', but that was his little secret. Tessa was too pure at this point to reveal her to what he really was. He hoped that, in time, she would prove herself without being asked, give him a reason to truly have him fall deeper in love than he was at that moment. Then, and only then, would he give his whole heart and secrets to her.
He enjoyed that thought thoroughly, though he paused by a shift in movement, which made Tessa question why that was. "Cyril? Is something wrong?" No answer from the male. His gray eyes were darting back and forth, someone was following them. He opened his mouth and dislodged their arms for a moment. As soon as he did that, though, someone snagged their arm roughly around Tessa's mouth. A muffled scream had come from her lips, and before she had tried anything else, Tessa's hand flew backwards, coming in contact with the male's genitals. One wasn't enough by her standards, Tessa continued the motion until the male himself howled a noise quite inhumane and let go, though he wasn't going to allow her to leave unscathed. He grasped harshly at her hair, tugging it enough to hurt. Tessa gritted her teeth and pulled back, holding back a soft wail of pain, some of her hair being torn out viciously. Tessa stumbled back and was just about to try something before a flash of light overcame the street.
She glanced over, eyes widening in awe as she looked to Cyril. He.. Was glowing! And in his right hand was a silver scythe, long and luscious until it reached the blade. It curved, and immediately reminded Tessa of a crescent moon in a dark night's sky. His eyes were slit angrily, teeth no longer pearly white and perfect, they were now a pearly white and jagged, almost akin to a shark's set of teeth. "How dare you try to hurt a lady." He hissed, now taking it personal. Nobody was going to snatch away his angel!
He didn't allow the man to even speak or make a movement. His feet were on the move, he dashed toward the man and a quick sweep of the hand was all he needed. Blood, crimson red, exquisite blood, rained from the body and on to the two night travelers, the decapitated head of the man rolling slowly to the side. Cyril had a grin on his lips that was feral, wild and on an entire level above dangerous. Tessa watched, eyes wide. Not in horror, but. . .Lust, she figured at first. There Cyril was, slicing this man's body to bits with a giant scythe. Nobody was around, nobody would see what was happening. Maybe... These two had a lot more things in common than she first thought.
My heart is racing, I cannot make sense of things like I used to.. I think this is what makes up the human emotion lust.. I feel as if I want to... Her thoughts were torn, Tessa looked to Cyril, now covered in blood. He had a look of fear on his face now, the scythe was gone.
His steps were slow, eyes filled even more with that longing feeling. Had he destroyed the only chance he would ever get the girl? "Tessa, I... I was hoping you wouldn't see this so soon, I truly hope this doesn't mess up.. He bit his lip, hands gently placed on top of Tessa's. He was going to say something else before Tessa pressed a finger against his lips, "SSh.. Before you say anything.. That was amazing.. She whispered softly, a smile spreading on her lips, She trailed over to the body, boots clicking against the cobblestone, and picked the cadaver up as if it were nothing. She ran a finger over the clean cut and grinned widely in approval. "Admittedly.. One of the cleanest kills I've seen.." She examined it for the longest of times until the body had turned to ashes and scattered, no longer littering the already dirty streets of London.
Cyril's eyes only widened at her words. He couldn't believe what he was hearing! "Wait.. You don't mean.." Tessa interrupted Cyril by giggling, winking and turning on her heel, "Now, Chop Chop! I'd like to get home before anything else happens. Not that that wasn't exciting, but I believe the excitement can wait another day or so, no?" She purred, starting to skip nonchalantly down the streets. Cyril, baffled by what had just happened, could only stare in awe for a few moments.
"Ah..! Tessa, Wait!" He called before running after the female.
She really is something else.. My angel..
